DESCRIPTION OF LESSONS
This course is all about hands, how to draw them, and how to make them expressive. We will begin by looking at the hand in the abstract structure. This is a group of basic geometric shapes, that when organized, and in the right position, will create the foundation for our hand drawing. I will show you how to create these shapes and in which order. Understanding the hand as shapes is an important part of the drawing process, as with any object!
Next we will discuss various tips and tricks that can help you with drawing any object, but these tips are especially helpful with hands. From there we will view/analyze hands drawn and/or painted by various artists. After that, we will move into putting all of this into practice. We will draw hands in three different positions. Along with each drawing, we will view, step-by-step, how I analyze the subject prior to drawing. By the end of this course, you will not only be an expert at drawing hands, but your toolbox will be full of strategies to use in all of your drawing experiences.

MEET JUAN PEREDNIK - ARTIST/INSTRUCTOR

My name is Juan Perednik, I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1989. I have been drawing since I can remember and it is one of the things that I enjoy doing the most, it is my true passion. Each drawing is a new experience, a challenge and an opportunity. Drawing is the most sincere form of art and the most solid basis for working with any other technique. I look at life and what happens to me through my lines. Drawing teaches me about frustration, perseverance, overcoming, insistence, patience, anxiety and the enjoyment of today and now.
This obsession with the line led me to work with people like The Rock (Dwayne Johnson), Josh Brolin, PayPal, MercadoLibre, Channel 13, Marcelo Tinelli, among many others. I invite you to accompany each other on this incredible and infinite journey full of lines that is drawing!
