This year in Let's Face It, we are studying the masters! It has been a lot of fun! My next master lesson is on Mary Cassatt. Mary painted pieces that reflected her every day life. She was surrounded by women, and so most of her paintings related to motherhood, childhood, and domestic settings. She challenged me to look around at my own life, and what was inspired by studying her was this piece titled, #NEVERAGAIN.
I am always inspired by a strong women that is able to share her feelings with the world about what is important to her. In this lesson, you will see me paint Emma Gonzalez from start to finish! If you decide to recreate this piece, please do not sell the original or the prints. Thank you!
If you would like to share your own creations from this lesson, please share in our Artist Community!
