Lately, finding the time to create has been tough! Life happens and gets so busy at times. Finding the balance can seem impossible! Even in the thick of things, I managed to paint a few pieces recently, and was lucky enough to capture the process on video! I wanted to share with you how sometimes, actually many times, I will paint a face over more than once. I just never seem satisfied. Then, when I go back and watch my process, I will see how I really could have stopped at different points along the way.
"A painting is never finished, at some point the artist just chooses to stop."
During the time of this painting, I was truly feeling down with so many happenings in my life, and with the world, in general. It is amazing just how much our life can affect our art, and how that can have an effect on the people around us! I do hope to get to my studio this week, again, to create more! I also am hopeful that this painting inspires you to get to your easel, or to your creative space, and create just for YOU!
