In 2021 we will focus on a variety of WAYS TO BE INSPIRED, and continue with various portrait angles and figurative poses!

Registration will officially open on October 12th!  The first 500 people will get the earliest bird rate of $99.  After that, the early bird price will be $119 through the end of November.  You will also have the option to bundle up and purchase multiple LFI courses for a bargain!  This year, you also have a chance to win one of 35 free memberships!  We are giving away 30 FREE memberships, plus 5 scholarships!  So you might get lucky and get the course for free!

  1. I’m so excited for Let’s Face It 2021! I just discovered a love of painting faces this year, and recently have been wanting to learn how to paint body proportions. Looking forward to the classes!!

  2. I just love to watch people paint, I learn so much. I’ve taken several courses and I have learned something from them all…portraits are my favorites, so I would say more portrait classes, definitely would love another from Michael Carson!

  3. Portraiture is fairly new to me, so learning how to include more than just the face will be a big step. So I guess figure and anatomy is what I will anticipate adding to my repertoire.

  4. LFI 2021 lineup looks fabulous! I am thrilled to be part of this group. Never had done a portrait until LFI2018 and now I have walls lined with them! I am 80 years young, never too old to learn.

    Thanks Kara

  5. I am always looking to learn more techniques for painting expressive portraits. I also want to learn more about painting with acrylics, and to paint loosely with minimum strokes.

  6. Anything I can learn would be great…. I want to especially learn more figurative but I need a lot with faces also. Thanks for the opportunity to win! This would help so much since this will be the first time I don’t really have the funds due to health issues. Hugs and love no matter what…

  7. Thank you for this opportunity Kara! I would love to learn more about storytelling with portraits. Oh and realism. Actually, I want to learn it all #studentforever haha!!

  8. Thanks Kara! This is my first year, 2020 and it has been beyond inspirational. In addition to growing artistically, art has been my solace in this crazy world. I want my passion to continue as a find my own creativity voice.

  9. Thank you so much for this chance to win <3 Love faces and different expressions in Mixed Media, really don't know the process of mixing ( without making a mess 😉 )

  10. Looking forward to my 4th year with you! Love all the lessons, always something new to learn and the teachers are always so inspiring! I would like to learn more about creating a narrative be it with a portrait or figurative work.

  11. Kara , let me thank you again for my lfi2020 scholarship ! I have learned so much !

I want to keep improving to be able to sell my paintings , so I can afford more courses and buy supplies ( you know my funds are restricted due to my health expenses)
    Big hug ?

  12. I’m a digital artist but I’m very keen to understand how to work with faces and portraits. I only started painting 12 months ago so very keen to learn. So this course I’m sure will be great.

  13. This is exciting! I’ve been focused on portraits this year, already, and having just done Sarah Sedgwick’s Zorn class and Michael Carson’s workshop, it’s been like boot camp. I’d love to keep building on that and am interested in mixed media, in capturing expression, and getting what’s happening inside the head onto the face.

  14. Thanks for running Let’s Face It again next year, Kara! What an awesome list of teachers! Shared on FB, and I would like to learn how to colour faces using different mediums – I’m very much a beginner, and am scared to ‘ruin’ my precious drawings by painting them! Lol.

    1. To learn portraits in a group with others would be my main reason to join. I do a lot of my art alone and unsupported and there is something about being in a group with others where there is support, sharing, mutual enjoyment where you are learning together and I’ve not often had that. Thank you for the chance to win a free spot. It’s very kind and I hope you enjoy not only teaching but choosing someone to give a place too. Portraits are my favourite. I’m deaf so face to face is even more important to me. Closeness and emotion and communication through expressive art are ways I feel more connection in this world.

  15. Every one of your artists and my fellow classmates inspire me to look at my paintings in a different way and teach me different tips and techniques to take my art in directions I would never have gone by myself. I am looking forward to learning more about everything in 2021 and I want to keep on lapping up inspiration and information and watching it shine through in my portraits.

  16. I’m interested in your Let’s Face It 2021 (some of your headings say 2020…?).
