For centuries flowers have been used to represent emotion. Where words fail, flowers can express our feelings. The giving of flowers can convey love, affection, appreciation and also grief. In their simplest form, flowers are beautiful. In this class I want you to learn to create beauty in your paintings with the addition of flowers. We will collage and paint our own representation of flowers. We will create paintings with flowers as the main focus as well as a subtle addition to a painting with another focus. Our flowers will be “wild” as we will create them from our own imagination. Your are limited only by your own imagination.
I hope to see you in class!

DESCRIPTION OF LESSONS
I will lead you in 3 main lessons, each with a different focus, as well as a few warm up lessons that you will be able to use in all of the lessons.
Lesson 1 - Nature Scene
We will be collaging flowers and birds onto a canvas to create a nature scene. The flowers and birds will be made from our imagination. I will show you how to create an interesting composition.
Lesson 2 - Flowers and Stylized Faces
In lesson 2, I will show you how I draw my stylized faces. We will paint the face in a pool of beautiful and colorful flowers. This is where you will allow your imagination to run wild.
Lesson 3 - Owl and Paper Flowers
In our final lesson we will paint an owl. I will show you how I make paper flowers that can add interest and dimension to your paintings.
Bonus Lesson
Of course there will be a bonus lesson! You will have to sign up to discover what final piece we will create together! If you like the flowers and vase above, you will be very happy with the final creation for this course!
