I absolutely loved Kimberly Santini’s Painting a Dog a Day course. I came into the course already feeling good about my painting, but Kimberly helped me see things differently.
I learned to be more intentional with composition, loosen up my brushstrokes, and really understand how to work with my palette. One of my biggest takeaways was actually learning to back off of bright, bold color. Instead, I began layering colors and allowing the painting itself to speak rather than relying on color to do all the work.
I also learned so much about how composition, color, and marks work together to move your eye through a painting. My work still feels like my work, but now there is so much more intention behind the choices I am making.
This course gave me new tools, a much better understanding of color, and the confidence to loosen up, experiment, and trust the process. Such a big win and such a wonderful course. Thank you, Kimberly!

I appreciate all the wonderful color mixing lessons and that Kim shared so many tips about her drawing. I know she has put in many hours of practice to refine and share her style. Very interesting to watch Kim work. I will say there were times that I was remembering paint by numbers with the unusual colors that were used to shade and define some areas of Kims work. In the end many wonderful tips and much enjoyment in watching it all come together. Thanks
