DAY 1 - DRAFTING
Robert will share his simple and powerful drafting method—always returning to the core principles that make a portrait strong.
DAY 2 - DRAW WITH PEN
Dylan will teach you his dynamic and approachable method for drawing portraits with pen. So much can be done with such a simple tool.
DAY 3 - A BIG BRUSH
Kara will walk you through using a simple palette and a big brush! This lesson is all about keeping it loose, expressive, and approachable.
DAY 4 - LIMITED PALETTE
Craving freedom? Sabra will demonstrate loose brushwork with a limited palette! Keep it simple. Less is often more!
DAY 5 - USING A GRID
Misty will show you how to paint a stunning profile portrait using the grid technique—breaking down the process so that anyone can follow.

I created Let’s Face It because I know firsthand how intimidating portrait art can feel. I’ve been exactly where you are—uncertain, overwhelmed, and wondering if I was good enough to keep going.
But I also know the power of showing up, practicing consistently, and having a safe space where you can learn, grow, and be encouraged every step of the way.
I’ve been teaching for over 25 years—first as an elementary and college educator, and now as the founder of Kara Bullock Art School, where I’ve helped thousands of artists around the world develop their skills and find their voice.
