The Frida Experience – Registration

CLASSROOM NOW OPEN!!!

In case you haven’t figured it out yet, I LOVE Frida Kahlo!  I have been inspired a lot in this last year by images of her and decided that these portraits would be a great way to share my love for creating with all of you!  Frida was a true inspiration to me as I got started on this art journey!  I am so inspired by what she represents as a woman and an artist.  She had strong beliefs and stood by them.  Her heart was full of emotion, and she wasn’t afraid to share that with others, both in person and through her art.  Frida’s art was different from so many others.  I have an appreciation for her as a woman and artist, and that is where the inspiration for these works of art came from.

This workshop contains four projects.  Yahoo!!!  The workshop includes, Frida with Red Roses, Paint Your Own Reality, Your Darkest Everything, and The Red Robe.  The first two lessons are more whimsical, while the last two are a bit more realistic (not quite, but more so than the first two).  These projects used to all be stand alone workshops, but I thought it would be fun to put them all into one workshop, and TA-DA, The Frida Experience was born.

***These classes also are stand alone courses and you may have already signed up for one of these.  If you want to sign up for the whole experience, but have already completed one or two of the courses, please contact me about that!

This is a work at your own pace course.  You will gain access to many hours of video in which I walk you through various mixed media techniques.  You have life time access to this workshop.  Join me in my Facebook community with others that are also taking my workshops to share your work and get feedback.

Testimonials

Debbie Wiggan, Australia – “I had the absolute pleasure of painting with Kara during a number of her workshops. One that I did recently was Her Darkest Everything, Although Kara is in the US and I’m in Australia, it still felt like she was in the room painting along with me! Her instructions are clear and you get to see every step of the process – you even learn that things can go wrong for an experienced artist and how to fix them too! Kara’s knowledge of online learning comes through when using her website as it is one of the easiest to navigate that I’ve come across. There is nothing more frustrating than not being able to get into a class you’ve purchased, and that doesn’t happen here. Kara has also built a wonderful community of like minded souls – both as teachers and students. We all get to learn from each other and I can’t wait for her new course to come out next year.

Beth Fryer Weatherford, Nashville, TNThis was one of my favorite workshops I’ve ever taken! Kara was thorough in her step by step explanations and always great about answering questions along the way. Can’t wait to take her next workshop!

Cindy Riordan, Mokena IL – Kara’s simple straight forward teaching style was easy to understand and a joy to be a part of. I cannot wait to start my next painting with her in her next class. Thank you Kara!”

Deanna Strachan, Atascadero, CA “I absolutely LOVED learning Kara’s layering technique! It’s amazing how something begins one way and ends up completely different, but you can still see all of the underlying layering and colors. Loved it!!!”
