Let’s Face It – 2017 – Renata Loree
“I like to paint portraits because they always add a story to a painting. I have painted abstracts, but without a portrait in them, they seam cold and impersonal.”
Hello, my name is Renata Loree. I probably would consider myself to be a mixed media artist, but without putting any labels on me, I would just consider myself to be very creative. I am the happiest when I paint, and I think that it’s always been that way. As a child I was dreaming to be an artist, but I think I also needed to get my life experience first so that I would have something meaningful to paint. And I think I do now, I feel, like I never run out of inspiration as long as I can reach down deep into my heart. I think painting colorful paintings brings more joy into the world, and painting a portrait tells a story, and that is what I like to share. I also love teaching my art and sharing with other people what I have learned, it brings me joy to see others finding solace in their art. I live in Natick, near Boston in Massachusetts, United States. I have moved here about 30 years ago from Czech Republic and I now consider it my home.
