People often have questions when it comes to the artwork and videos created for online courses. Below I have listed and responded to the most common questions I have had. Commonly Asked Questions

Am I allowed to sell my work created from the lessons in the courses.

If your artwork looks exactly like, or very similar to the lesson, it is recommended that keep that as a learning experience. If you are using a completely different reference photo, and the artwork does not look like the lesson, then it is probably safe to sell. When in doubt, reach out to the artist/instructor.

Am I allowed to enter my artwork from the course into art exhibits?

If your artwork looks exactly like, or very similar to the lesson, it is recommended that you do not enter it into art exhibits. Often, entries need to be original ideas. If you are using a completely different reference photo, and the artwork does not look like the lesson, then it is probably safe to enter. When in doubt, reach out to the artist/instructor.

Can I create art prints of my artwork created from the lessons in the courses.

If your artwork looks exactly like, or similar to the lesson, it is recommended that you keep it as a learning experience and do not make products from the artwork. When it doubt, reach out to the artist/instructor.

I really enjoyed your process and would like to create a video sharing the same technique. Am I allowed to do this?

If the video that you create is sharing the same process, with the same reference photo, etc. and it is exactly like the one that I created in my classroom, then I am not comfortable with you filming that. If you are taking a technique and creating something new on your own, then I
am comfortable with that.
