Day 1
Today is Day 1 of our COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS!
To begin our countdown, we will be sharing a free video from one of our best selling classes this year, Inventive Color, Interpretive Style by artist and community favorite, Milena Guberinic! The lesson that we are sharing with you all will give you a peek into Milena's techniques for painting a watercolor portrait! If you enjoy this lesson, you can purchase the course this week for 45% off!!
This video, along with all coming days, will be available through December 25th!
This portrait demo will focus on painting a subject with dark skin. We’ll look at how light behaves on darker surfaces, including the importance of highlights, the depth of local color and shadow, and a richer, more saturated use of color. I’ll show how I build depth with transparent color and how to avoid flattening the form or desaturating the richness of the skin tone.
